Yesterday was pretty awesome. Got to spend time with some of my favorite ladies. Lizette, Lidia, Kristen, Emily and I went ice-skating! It was Em's first time, the rest of us had at least been last year. We were smart this time and got the "Family 4 pack" which was only $30 and included skates. Woo! Like a whole $1 or 2 less than buying them individually!
And unlike last year, we didn't have to wait for an extra hour to get in on a session. Definitely better to go after the holidays. There were maybe 30 or 35 people total on the ice? Last time there was like 70??? Yeah, much more freedom to roam. And we all got pretty decent at it! I let my pride get in the way and in the last five minutes I decided I was gonna go really fast, but ended up getting my left toe pick stuck and fell hard on my knee. So NOT fun. I have a pretty nice bruise from that little episode. XD
Afterwards we made our way over to that chinese placed were they filmed Jackie Chan's Rush Hour. (I always forget the name of that place... foo chow???) Service was rude, as usual, but the food was great of course.
We ate our over-ordered meal (lol! we always order too much) and then headed home. We dropped off our high school ladies, Emily and Kristen, and then Lidia, Lizette and I went over to the Starbucks on Azusa. We had some great girl talk, the funnest part involved the Despicable Me minions. <3 minions <3 Every time I talk with these two lovely friends of mine, I want to work harder to become a better person.
