Church today was wonderful! I think I had the best day in primary that I've had yet!!!
We played Hide the Family. Essentially, it's the game of hot or cold. One person hid a picture of a family that I brought, and a team of two went in the hallway. We brought the team back in and sung the Builder song (about building an eternal family) and we sung louder when they were close and softer when they were farther away. My kids had a BALL! I think the teachers and I got a kick out of it too. Made sure every kid had the opportunity for a turn or two. I got the bishop involved at the very end, and we sent him out in the hallway to look for the family. The kids wanted to play "just one more?" :D That really made my day. I love seeing my kids enthusiastic. It makes me feel like I'm doing something right.
Shelby came over in the afternoon. We did hw and studied and talked and had fangirl moments... I really miss you Shelby, I miss hanging out with you all the time. I love you Shelby! Today was great. Next time we hang out will be even better, I promise.
There's other stuff i could put here, but I'm too giddy. I keep getting distracted.
Just one darn great day. :D
P.S. My sister went to a masquerade birthday party the other day:
Youth instilled within her laughs,
face on hand, with false black lace;
She wore the universe tied 'round her waist
and a smile made up of stars.
