...better find a repair man?...
Thank the Lord! I'm no longer in physical pain!
With help from the holy ghost and the karma of the universe, I got the balls to have the minor surgery necessary to correct my ingrown toenail. UGH! I didn't realize quite how much pain I was in until today-ish. Had the surgery done friday, today is monday. Wow. What. A. Difference. And I got a really good deal on it all, only $250 (free consult) for the procedure which included the antibiotics and cream and checkup appointment this friday. Phew. Plus, Dr. Payman was quite nice. Despite my extreme hesitation at showing up at this place---SO GHETTO! Oye vey El Monte.... I shouldn't have been so shocked... alas! Tis done. I feel like an old man wearing my dad's open toed sandal on my left foot, but if I had to wear that for the rest of my life to prevent pain, I'd HAPPILY agree to it. And I've found, very surprisingly, that soaking my feet in that lavander scented Epsom salt each day is actually kinda pleasant. I never would have guessed that about myself.
In other news, our hot water. Fails. The heater itself is fine, but the pipes have been leaking for a month or two now and it finally just gave up. So no hot water for the Bennions. So depressing! Especially since the weather has just super recently decided that it should be fall/winter, finally. Pouring rain the day I had surgery, of course, along with thunder, lightening, hail, wind, snow in the higher elevations. The whole recipe.
My poor parents are wigging out. I'm doing my damnedest to keep them sane. Bought my mommy a new stove when our oven finally gave up the ghost. Offering to pay for the new bathtub and/or shower we're gonna have to replace our old one with. My car payments are going well... frankly, my savings account is at a stagnant but i have already reached the goal for the year WAY early.
Well. There is a lot more I want to rant about, but at the same time, I don't want to think about most of it. :/
